Are Froot Loops With Fiber Now "Good for you?"

Those of you who were present for the PIB meeting in Collinsville last week saw me hold up a box of Froot Loops and suggest there is now a good reason to eat them--they contain 3 grams of fiber per serving! Many of you thought I was kidding, and I heard murmurs of disbelief, confusion, and more than one person exclaim, "what about all the sugar?!" Well, I was not kidding and here is a link to further explain from my "Balanced Diet, Balance Life" blog. Yes, certainly there are healthier sources of fiber, like a bowl of Fiber One cereal, for instance. But since most of us like to occasionally indulge in something just because it tastes good, my point was to make the best choice for good nutrition among those sugar-and-fat-laden treats!
